WordPress 4.4 “Clifford” was an exciting new release for website admins, and web designers. However, it caused so many problems too.
The new update, codenamed Clifford, altered some of the ways things were handled “under the hood” which broke a number of premium templates and themes, and plugins too. It was a frantic time for wordpress developers everywhere finding updates and fixes to bring everything back in-line.
For hosting companies using Plesk, it also caused conflicts and breakages within the Plesk WordPress Toolkit, which became disconnected from the hosted WordPress installations upon upgrading to 4.4.
Thankfully, it looks like we are all back on track, and it didn’t take terribly long.
