Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors
are
a large firm of lawyers specialising principally in
company and commercial law, and litigation.
Geoffrey Leaver already had an existing
website,
but felt it was time for something that
better reflects their corporate image and branding; but with a great deal more
visual impact and complete content control.
The completed website allows for almost
complete control of the content of the public facing website,
including adding new menu items, departments, sub-departments,
pages, news and articles, images, documents, and links. The web site automatically generates
it's own complete site map, and continually updates the news introductions
that appear on the home page.
The Content Management System (CMS) we built to drive this site
is extensive, yet very easy to use. Pages are updated in an
editor that's as easy to use as Microsoft Word, which also handles
the input and placing of images, links, tables, bullet lists,
etc.
Visitor information and hits are
captured by the system and can be viewed online directly in the
CMS. The information available includes hit counters for every
page, and downloadable document, plus views of who has visited the
site by IP address (and friendly internet address), how many visits
they've made, how many pages they viewed, and also a list of exactly which pages they viwed in
the order they viewed them.
The detailed stats view also shows information by the users time
zones, browser types, screen resolution, colour depth, etc.
Perhaps best of all, the system also shows how the visitor came
to be at the site. If they did a search on Google, it gives a
link to the search result page on Google, and therefore shows what
search was performed.
