I've noticed that some websites have multiple listings on both the ODP (Open Directory Project), and Yahoo Directory.  If thats allowed, how can I do achieve the same for my website?

Indeed many websites have multiple listings in the ODP and Yahoo Directory, as does our own website.  If you feel your website could justifiably and correctly appear in more than one category, then you need only to suggest the site for the other categories, in the same way that you did for the original listing. 

As a general rule, neither directory will allow your site to be listed in more than 3 categories.
